I dreamed of a better life…<\/p>\n

In 1987, I came to America with only $150 in my pocket. No connections. No college degree.<\/p>\n

I grew up in England’s foster care system – living without heat in a tiny room above a garage.<\/p>\n

I’d cut out photos of New York from travel brochures and tape them to the wall above my bed. I’d lay there saying to myself, “There has to be a better life than this one.”<\/p>\n

Then, on July 9, 1987, I touched down in America at JFK International Airport.<\/p>\n

I worked three jobs. And I even offered to work for free on Wall Street until this guy named Frank gave me a shot. I started off as an assistant for the big-time brokers and eventually became one myself.<\/p>\n

In two years, I became the youngest vice president in Shearson Lehman history. And after 15 years on Wall Street, I left to run my own successful hedge fund for a decade before retiring.<\/p>\n

But here’s the thing…<\/p>\n

Despite all my success, I never knew what it meant to truly be “free.” By that, I mean how much money I needed to get to do the things I always wanted to do.<\/p>\n

And right now, I know there are others out there who also want the financial freedom to do what they want. My goal this year is to help them achieve that…<\/p>\n

My Mission in 2020<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I can’t convey in words how I feel about this country. Love is not strong enough.<\/p>\n

America gave me everything I value: opportunity, mentors, love, friendship, and the type of painful life lessons only a free-market economy can provide.<\/p>\n

That’s why I want to give back…<\/p>\n

So over the next year, I’m on a mission to help bring financial freedom to more people than any other newsletter editor in the world.<\/p>\n
